씬 리지의 1집이고, 아직 가야할 방향을 찾지 못한 듯 귀에 꼽히는 곡이 없다. Honesty Is No Excuse, Saga of the Ageing Orphan 등 2개의 발라드가 그나마 괜찮은 편이다.

1집보다도 더 들을 것이 없는 앨범이다. 매력과 특징이 없는 곡들이 즐비하다. 그래도 굳이 꼽자면, 잔잔한 Sarah 정도가 들을만하다.

우리가 아는 신 리지는 이 앨범부터 시작된 것 같다. 초대 기타리스트 Eric Bell은 이 앨범까지 작업하고 떠났다고 한다. 필 라이넛의 목소리에 힘이 생기기 시작했고 기타연주도 물이 오르기 시작한 듯하다. 긴 동면에서 깨어나듯 The Hero and the Madman 4:54초 부분부터 드디어 귀가 솔깃한 공격적인 기타솔로가 나오기 시작하면서, Slow Blues, The Rocker, Whisky in the Jar, Randolph's Tango, Broken Dreams 등 좋은 곡들을 선보여준다. 특히 Whisky in the Jar에서의 기타솔로는 마약같은 중독성이 있다. 이 앨범은 씬 리지의 대표작 중 하나로 꼽을만 하다.
